The I.D. process
involved filling out a card that detailed the child's vital information
such as name, date of birth, height and weight, and blood type.
Next a small DNA sample in the form of a hair or fingernail clipping was
taken and placed in a small pill bottle. Finally each child was
fingerprinted by a representative of local law enforcement.
